Resilience Recovery Resources offers outpatient care for teens with opioid use disorder (OUD) and co-occurring mental health conditions. Our teen opioid addiction treatment program provides care for teen boys and adolescents in Florida with family therapy and support groups, among other evidence-based methods.
Resilience Recovery Resources offers dedicated opioid addiction treatment for teens. We address not just the effects of opioid use disorder (OUD) on your son, but also confront the unique challenges, influences, and factors that led your teen to use opioids in the first place. Our comprehensive opioid addiction treatment program ensures that your teen has access to age-appropriate care, evidence-based treatment, individual and group therapy, peer support, and a developmental and skills-based approach to healing that empowers sustainable change.
Each of our programs is backed by a commitment to clinical excellence that combines proven, evidence-based methods with holistic healing opportunities, experiential care, and more. From care for underlying co-occurring disorders to trauma-informed care and polysubstance use, our teen opioid program is built to support and empower your teen while building a community in recovery.
Our team also believes in the power of an informed and engaged community to support long-term healing from OUD, incorporating group therapy and peer support alongside family therapy integration. We work with teens and their parents to learn more about opioid misuse and addiction, substance use disorders, and adopt strategies to make change at home, all to ensure that parents can best support their son and challenge enabling behaviors for healing for the whole family.
Even teens can be exposed to the dangers of opioids, from sports injuries to dental procedures like wisdom teeth removal. Some households with legitimate prescription opioids can also increase the risk of use in a teen, as curiosity and experimentation can develop quickly into illicit use.
Resilience Recovery Resources creates a safe place for your teen to explore challenges associated with opioid addiction through monitoring and professional support that gets to the root of your teen’s struggles. Our teen opioid addiction treatment program blends clinical excellence with a comfortable facility and amenities, peer support, and a culture that de-stigmatizes and empowers change.
For nearly a decade, Resilience Recovery has supported adolescent and young adult males through developmentally informed, family-centered care. Our transitional model emphasizes clinical excellence, accountability, and the life skills needed for sustainable recovery and independence.
Programming is thoughtfully designed around the developmental needs of young men ages 14–28. Separate tracks ensure care remains age-appropriate, clinically relevant, and aligned with each stage of growth.
Our multidisciplinary team delivers evidence-based care grounded in relational and attachment-focused principles, including the NeuroAffective Relational Model (NARM). Treatment prioritizes emotional healing while building practical skills for long-term stability.
Low client-to-staff ratios allow for individualized support, meaningful therapeutic relationships, and consistent clinical oversight. Each client is known, supported, and actively guided throughout their recovery process.
Care is trauma-informed and developmentally responsive, addressing the underlying experiences that often contribute to substance use. We support the whole person — emotionally, socially, academically, and vocationally.
Families remain closely involved through weekly therapy, regular updates, and dedicated care coordination. This collaborative approach strengthens communication, rebuilds trust, and supports lasting change beyond the program.
FARR-accredited residences provide a safe, structured setting that reinforces accountability while promoting independence. Each home is intentionally designed to reflect real-world living, helping clients practice the skills necessary for a successful transition forward.
Our team takes a personalized approach to each opioid addiction treatment program, confronting not just the type of opioids used, but the unique experiences, stresses, and underlying needs of your teen. There is never a single path to healing. By blending world-class evidence-based care with holistic healing opportunities, individual and group therapy, experiential therapies, and a community of peers, we work with your teen and family to create a plan for comprehensive, lasting change.
Your teen will work one-on-one with an experienced clinician, focusing on their needs, goals, experiences, and skills. This includes evidence-based therapies like cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), motivational interviewing (MI), trauma-informed care, and the NeuroAffective Relational Model (NARM), which provide a proven foundation for effective behavioral health treatment.
We also celebrate family involvement through weekly family therapy integration, empowering parents to be educated, active, and involved in their son’s healing. This approach focuses on exploring coping skills and strategies at home for teens and parents, improving communication and understanding, enacting effective relapse-prevention skills, establishing healthy boundaries, and creating an environment focused on support, understanding, and accountability while challenging enabling behaviors, stigma, and misconceptions to unify families throughout healing.
We combine individual therapy with group therapy opportunities, helping teens come together to develop practical strategies, build new relationships, and provide effective peer support and understanding that de-stigmatizes addiction and vulnerability to embrace healing. This includes 12-Step integration and experiential therapies to explore new experiences, perspectives, and ideas in a safe environment.
We offer co-occurring opioid and mental health treatment, addressing the impact of mental illness, stress, trauma, and more on each teen’s relationship with drugs. Addressing these challenges in tandem is necessary for comprehensive healing. We address your teen’s entire situation and help them understand how these forces inform and interact with each other for the most effective approach to transformative change.
Our team also coordinates with local facilities to support medication-assisted treatment (MAT), giving your teen access to necessary medications for opioid use disorder to navigate change, cravings, and other challenges. Our medication management and logistical support ensure medications like methadone, buprenorphine (Suboxone), naltrexone, or naloxone are available to provide either extended-release or immediate support. We also work with families to monitor medication and its effects and coordinate with pediatricians.
Knowing what to expect can help parents and teens take this first step toward healing with confidence. Our programs begin with morning meditation and chores, followed by scheduled group sessions throughout the morning and early afternoon. Time is also allotted for ongoing academics – we work with a dedicated Florida special education teacher to maintain academic success and focus while navigating opioid recovery. We also provide opportunities for relaxation and community, with communal spaces, a mural wall, a basketball court, and a music studio all available.
Teens also engage in supervised meal prep, working together to build new skills and responsibilities, all before attending off-site 12-Step meetings. Your teen should never have to choose between healing, academics, or professional ambitions. Our outpatient support, intensive outpatient program (IOP), and partial hospitalization program (PHP) all offer opportunities for teens to take control of their drug-free future.
While our teen programming is designed to address the developmental needs and challenges of teenagers, it is best for those who have completed a medical detox or residential program and are continuing to build on new skills and strategies for a lasting sober life. If your teen needs medical detox services or residential treatment, we can help provide referrals and coordinate with you and local options to find the best fit before transitioning to care with us.
Healing is about much more than addressing surface-level symptoms and challenges of opioid addiction. From identifying the types of opioids used to the stresses, environment, and factors that led to experimentation and illicit opioid use in the first place, we empower teens to confront drugs alongside underlying co-occurring needs.
Resilience Recovery Resources offers comprehensive care for an array of opioids, including:
Illicit opioids can also be cut with other substances, either with or without a teen’s knowledge. We also address the use of these opioids alongside underlying needs, confronting drug addiction while treating anxiety, depression, emotional dysregulation, challenges with ADHD, and the developmental and transitional stresses unique to teens in the present day.

Healing is a process, but understanding the goals, milestones, and expectations can empower teens and families to commit to healing from the very first step. Resilience Recovery Resources follows a level-based structure, with regular assessments to update plans and make the most of each teen’s time with us.
Each journey starts with an assessment, discussing your teen’s unique needs, experiences, goals, and challenges with opioids and underlying mental health needs. This is a non-judgmental space that helps our expert clinicians learn about your son.
Using this information, we put together a collection of strategies and a personalized therapy program, ensuring that care is catered to the needs of your son so your teen and entire family can make the most of these recovery efforts.
We offer a combination of evidence-based and holistic therapy sessions, with structured care, individual and group therapy, and age-appropriate care. Your son can address addiction and its effects from all angles.
Regular monitoring ensures we can update strategies while keeping your teen safe, addressing personal needs, measuring progress, and reaching new milestones.
We are committed to long-term healing, supporting your journey not just during outpatient treatment, but continuing to work with you as you transition to new stages, advance to new levels in our system, and embrace new freedoms outside the facility. Ongoing aftercare support and alumni programs keep teens engaged and connected to our healing community.
Resilience Recovery Resources offers different levels of care depending on the needs of your teen. From finding the right program to supporting your teen’s transition between levels of care, we are committed to long-term, sustainable wellness for your teen and the entire family.
Our PHP is divided into two paths: one for adolescents aged 14 to 17 and one for young adults aged 18 to 28. These programs include 25 hours of group therapy per week, alongside family integration, individual therapy, academics and life skills support, and medical oversight. Located in West Palm Beach, our PHP creates a culture that supports teens while building new skills.
Our IOP is a step down from PHP and includes 9 to 15 hours of group therapy per week as teens take on more responsibilities and freedoms, all while still staying connected to our supportive community. These programs help teens continue building a new life both inside and outside our walls, with weekly individual therapy and family therapy sessions, life skills support, and the ability to balance academics with ongoing healing.
Our least intensive level of care, our outpatient program (OP), consists of about 6 hours a week of dedicated programming and is best for teens who have completed a higher level of care and are continuing to successfully integrate new skills, coping strategies, and build on a sober life at home. Outpatient care is also best for teens with an engaged, educated family support system at home.
While addiction can feel isolating, entire families and communities are affected. However, our focus on empowerment and community ensures that nobody has to face addiction alone.
We empower teens to share their stories with peers. Confronting the effects of opioid addiction while building camaraderie with peers, de-stigmatizing addiction, and creating a community that supports and builds each other up is a core tenet of our approach to healing, deconstructing barriers for a new approach to wellness.
Teens never have to put their academics on hold to pursue change. We work with a Florida-certified special education teacher at a satellite location, using virtual learning to continue academic rigor while your son receives the treatment he needs.
Each journey takes time, and there will be challenges and hurdles along the way. We work to equip each teen and family with the skills necessary to prevent relapse and bounce back from stress, focusing not on short-term solutions, but long-term, sustainable sobriety.
Confronting even the thought of your son living with addiction can be devastating. However, knowing the signs can empower families and parents to take an honest approach and reach out for professional help when your son needs it most.
Signs to look out for include:
Noticing just some of these signs can be a reason to reach out to the caring staff at Resilience Recovery Resources to learn more about opioid addiction, your situation, and your options as a family. Early intervention can be crucial to getting your son the help they need, confronting these effects, and building a new approach to daily life.
Yes, your son should complete medical detox before beginning a program with us at Resilience Recovery Resources to navigate withdrawal symptoms. We can help you coordinate medical detox, locate detox, inpatient, or residential treatment options, and provide referrals and transitional support between levels of care.
We work with you to balance academics and healing, including collaborating with a Florida-certified special education teacher to maintain academic enrollment and progress while your son pursues a sober future.
From weekly family therapy sessions to education for parents and caregivers, we understand that healing takes place at all times, not just within our walls. We empower families to support their teen effectively, adopt new skills as supports, and face addiction as a disease while building communication, establishing healthy boundaries, and challenging enabling behaviors and feelings of blame for a unified and fair approach to lasting change.
Absolutely. Treatment and early intervention can not only help address opioid use and the routines, stresses, and factors that inform use, but also equip teens with new coping strategies to get away from drugs. Our treatment programs also work with families to identify addiction and high-risk scenarios, providing them with the education necessary to act in the event of an unfortunate overdose for the safety of your son.
