Resilience Recovery Resources offers outpatient care for young men facing opioid use disorder (OUD), including the use of illicit fentanyl, and co-occurring mental health conditions. Our fentanyl addiction treatment program for young adults in Florida focuses on long-term recovery through evidence-based treatment, family therapy, support groups, and ongoing aftercare support.
Resilience Recovery Resources offers dedicated care for young adult men navigating substance use disorders, creating a personalized treatment program focused not just on the effects of opioids, but the underlying factors that informed their use. With a dedicated young adult program for ages 18 to 28, we build a community of peer support and camaraderie that focuses on the unique needs of young adult men.
Healing from OUD and fentanyl addiction is complicated, and young adults may have even been exposed to prescription opioids from legitimate sources. Opioids can be commonly prescribed to treat severe pain following injury or surgery, with drugs like morphine, methadone, and even fentanyl all having intense pain relief effects. However, as legitimate prescriptions are used up, or if a young adult uses these drugs for reasons not listed or directed by a medical professional, they may turn to illicit options like heroin, street-level fentanyl, methamphetamine, or counterfeit pills, leading to new risks and dangers.
From addressing your unique history and experiences with opioids like fentanyl to underlying needs, we take a comprehensive approach to change. Each program includes not only the development of new life skills that make you the agent of your own change, but also incorporates peer support and family therapy to provide effective and educated support outside our walls. We help you balance healing with personal goals, career and academic development, and support rebuilding relationships with loved ones in a new, drug-free life.
Fentanyl is an incredibly potent synthetic opioid, anywhere between 50 and 100 times more powerful than morphine. Illicit fentanyl can also be cut with or mixed into other substances, making it difficult to predict effects or the intensity of these drugs.
Due to its potency and ubiquity, fentanyl overdose is a major risk of substance use. Early intervention and outpatient care can provide young adults with not just education, but a community of peers to build new coping strategies and navigate addiction before more serious consequences can manifest, even helping prevent truly disastrous outcomes like overdose deaths.
Screening, clinical support and counseling, peer support, and access to potentially life-saving medications can all help prevent disastrous consequences of fentanyl use. Some important medications for opioid use disorder (MOUD) include:
Additionally, taking a proactive stance and calling if you suspect opioid addiction in a young adult can empower your family to provide effective intervention and care.
For nearly a decade, Resilience Recovery has supported adolescent and young adult males through developmentally informed, family-centered care. Our transitional model emphasizes clinical excellence, accountability, and the life skills needed for sustainable recovery and independence.
Programming is thoughtfully designed around the developmental needs of young men ages 14–28. Separate tracks ensure care remains age-appropriate, clinically relevant, and aligned with each stage of growth.
Our multidisciplinary team delivers evidence-based care grounded in relational and attachment-focused principles, including the NeuroAffective Relational Model (NARM). Treatment prioritizes emotional healing while building practical skills for long-term stability.
Low client-to-staff ratios allow for individualized support, meaningful therapeutic relationships, and consistent clinical oversight. Each client is known, supported, and actively guided throughout their recovery process.
Care is trauma-informed and developmentally responsive, addressing the underlying experiences that often contribute to substance use. We support the whole person — emotionally, socially, academically, and vocationally.
Families remain closely involved through weekly therapy, regular updates, and dedicated care coordination. This collaborative approach strengthens communication, rebuilds trust, and supports lasting change beyond the program.
FARR-accredited residences provide a safe, structured setting that reinforces accountability while promoting independence. Each home is intentionally designed to reflect real-world living, helping clients practice the skills necessary for a successful transition forward.
Young adult men face a unique blend of challenges, including the impact of fentanyl addiction, as well as challenging stigmas and stresses while navigating both personal and professional life, expectations, and life challenges. We take a comprehensive approach to each individual in each of our outpatient programs, understanding the personal journey of fentanyl use, addiction, and recovery. Our team provides support, sympathetic care, and a commitment to clinical excellence every step of the way.
Working one-on-one with an experienced clinician can empower young adult men to focus on their unique needs, goals, experiences, and skills to develop a path forward. This includes evidence-based therapies such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), motivational interviewing (MI), trauma-informed care, and our NeuroAffective Relational Model (NARM), which provide a proven foundation for effective behavioral health treatment.
We combine individual therapy with group therapy opportunities, helping young adults cooperate with peers to explore practical strategies, build new relationships, and provide effective peer support while developing a healing culture and community. This also includes 12-Step integration and experiential therapies to explore new perspectives and ideas in a safe, curated environment while supporting holistic healing.
We incorporate family involvement through weekly family therapy sessions, empowering parents to be educated, active, and involved in their son’s healing. This approach focuses on exploring coping skills and strategies at home for young adults and parents, improving communication and understanding, enacting effective relapse-prevention skills, establishing healthy boundaries, and creating an environment focused on support, understanding, and accountability rather than blame or resentment as parents grow and heal alongside their son.
We offer medication management, continuing to help you or your young adult son manage medications for opioid use disorder and continue to address ongoing fentanyl withdrawal symptoms. Medication helps empower agency, provide comfort, and create a safe, stable approach to new life skills and coping strategies as each person reaches toward their next milestone.
Healing is a comprehensive process, and we go beyond the immediate challenges of fentanyl addiction to explore new life skills and skills development that support your transition not just to a sober life, but to new career goals. From managing urges to conducting mock interviews, resume building, time management, communication, and more, we empower young adults not just to pursue a drug-free life, but to equip them with the skills to thrive in it.
Knowing what to expect from fentanyl addiction treatment can empower young adult men to approach professional treatment with confidence and a commitment to their own future. We focus on empowerment through skills development, transitional support, and personal agency, providing education and tools that help young adults take charge of their own recovery.
Our programs start each day with morning meditation and chores, building new life skills and accountability while developing a new structure in daily life. This is followed by clinical group and therapy from 1:30 to about 7:30, with supervised meal prep and time for self-care and recreation to manage energy while putting in the hard work to confront addiction and its effects.
Our young adult program starts a little later in the day, so clients can still maintain employment and work morning hours before coming to treatment. Young men will have time to address workplace stress and how it affects sobriety, sober goals, and the development of effective coping skills.
Our programs go beyond addressing surface-level symptoms, instead confronting the use of fentanyl alongside underlying needs and goals. Addressing co-occurring disorders like anxiety, depression, stress, trauma, and emotional dysregulation is crucial for effective and comprehensive healing. Our dual diagnosis treatment is personalized to address developmental and transitional challenges, so young adult men have access to the most pertinent care for their unique situation.

Finding the right level of care for young adults is crucial. We work with you not only to find the right program, but to provide regular monitoring and assessment to support the journey as you transition to new levels, embrace new freedoms and accountability, and adjust each program to match your changing needs, goals, and skills.
Our most intensive level of care, our young adult PHP is designed for men aged 18 to 28. PHP includes 25 hours of group therapy per week, plus personalized care, family involvement, individual therapy, academics and life skills support, and medical oversight. Located in West Palm Beach, the program fosters a culture that supports young men while building new skills.
A step down from our PHP, our IOP includes 9 to 15 hours of group therapy per week as young adults take on more responsibilities and freedoms, while still staying connected to our supportive community. These programs continue to build a new life both inside and outside our walls, with weekly individual therapy and family therapy sessions, life skills support, and the ability to balance workplace success or an ongoing academic career with effective healing.
Our least intensive level of care, our outpatient program (OP), consists of about 6 hours a week of dedicated programming and is best for young adult men who have completed a higher level of care and are continuing to successfully integrate new skills, coping strategies, and build on a sober life while pursuing their academic or professional lives. This program can be especially beneficial for those who are balancing ongoing healing and a drug-free life with new career opportunities.
While fentanyl addiction can feel isolating, entire families and communities are affected. Our focus on empowerment and community ensures that nobody has to face addiction alone, supporting long-term change that helps everyone build a thriving, opioid-free life.
We work closely with local sober living options, including FARR-accredited sober living options right next to our clinical office in Florida, providing transition support and programs that support accountability, vocational and academic support, and 12-Step participation while navigating through our level system.
Even after navigating new levels of freedom and treatment programs or reaching new milestones in healing, you are never far from support. We continue to provide alumni support to further integrate your skills and new lifestyle into your larger healing journey, building on skills while staying connected to our healing community and culture in Florida.
We work with individuals and families to provide robust relapse prevention planning, including coping skills to address new stresses, mindfulness techniques to recognize changes in wellness or stress, and education for family members to provide the best support possible for a lasting drug-free life.
Taking the first step into professional fentanyl rehab can be the most challenging. Many individuals may be in disbelief or denial about how addiction is impacting their lives, or the lives of loved ones and family members. Knowing when to contact professional care is crucial to help young adult men confront drug addiction early and build a thriving drug-free life.
Signs that point to a need for treatment include:
While early intervention is the best way to address the effects of addiction early and prevent more drastic effects, there is nobody who is ever beyond healing or sobriety. We are ready to work with you to find the right program, fit, and approach to empower your transformation to a drug-free life.
While we do not offer in-house medical detox or inpatient programs, we do work closely with trusted local options and provide referrals to these levels of care to address withdrawal symptoms and stabilization. We are also available to provide logistical and transitional support as you navigate each level of care, transitioning from these programs to day treatment with us to ensure there are no gaps in care from our addiction specialists.
Fentanyl binds to opioid receptors in the brain to address severe pain. However, the body adjusts to the repeated presence and expectation of fentanyl. As the body and brain become accustomed to fentanyl use, it begins to feel necessary to use fentanyl to function “normally,” leading to a physical dependence on the drug, as well as physical withdrawal symptoms when the drug is not present.
Yes! We structure our days to allow young adults to continue working while engaging in effective drug rehab, and to explore new skills and strategies you can use to balance these aspects of your life.
We incorporate family therapy into each program to educate family members about addiction, help them become effective supports, and foster communication, trust, and forgiveness for entire families, facilitating change both inside our walls and at home for a consistent, effective, and unified approach.
