Cocaine Addiction Treatment Program for Young Adults

Resilience Recovery Resources provides young adult men and their families with personalized cocaine addiction treatment, going beyond surface-level needs to address underlying concerns, build new skills, make lifestyle changes, and promote a healthy approach to a lasting drug-free life. Our program focuses on the unique needs of 18- to 28-year-old men, building a community of peers to address the impact of substance use disorder (SUD), developmental stresses, and more. From the impact of cocaine on physical and mental health to its lasting effects on family members, loved ones, relationships, professional life, and more, we take a comprehensive approach to addressing addiction and each way it impacts daily life.

Our cocaine addiction treatment program combines evidence-based care with holistic healing opportunities, peer support, and guidance from clinicians with lived experiences navigating the impact of cocaine use and addiction, all backed by a high standard of clinical excellence. Each young adult program is also different, with personalized case management to find not just the right level of care between a partial hospitalization program (PHP), intensive outpatient program (IOP), and outpatient care, but also the unique coping strategies, skills, and approach to find the best approach to healing from cocaine addiction.

Our young adult program empowers men to pursue personal goals beyond addiction recovery, blending aftercare support and ongoing care with pertinent life skills and professional development. Combining cocaine addiction treatment with resume building, mock interviews, and life skills that support empowerment and personal agency, as well as family therapy and support, creates a truly comprehensive and sustainable approach to a drug-free life.

Why Families & Young Adults Trust Us

For nearly a decade, Resilience Recovery has supported adolescent and young adult males through developmentally informed, family-centered care. Our transitional model emphasizes clinical excellence, accountability, and the life skills needed for sustainable recovery and independence.

Age and Gender-Specific Care for Adolescent and Young Adult Males

Programming is thoughtfully designed around the developmental needs of young men ages 14–28. Separate tracks ensure care remains age-appropriate, clinically relevant, and aligned with each stage of growth.

Licensed Clinicians and Evidence-Based Treatment Methods

Our multidisciplinary team delivers evidence-based care grounded in relational and attachment-focused principles, including the NeuroAffective Relational Model (NARM). Treatment prioritizes emotional healing while building practical skills for long-term stability.

Small Group Sizes for Personalized Attention

Low client-to-staff ratios allow for individualized support, meaningful therapeutic relationships, and consistent clinical oversight. Each client is known, supported, and actively guided throughout their recovery process.

Trauma-Informed, Holistic Care Approach

Care is trauma-informed and developmentally responsive, addressing the underlying experiences that often contribute to substance use. We support the whole person — emotionally, socially, academically, and vocationally.

Ongoing Family Therapy and Communication

Families remain closely involved through weekly therapy, regular updates, and dedicated care coordination. This collaborative approach strengthens communication, rebuilds trust, and supports lasting change beyond the program.

Beautiful and Structured Sober Living Environments

FARR-accredited residences provide a safe, structured setting that reinforces accountability while promoting independence. Each home is intentionally designed to reflect real-world living, helping clients practice the skills necessary for a successful transition forward.

How We Care for Young Men With Cocaine Dependence

Overcoming cocaine addiction is complicated, and lasting change goes beyond treating chemical dependency; it involves empowering young men to adopt new coping strategies, address underlying factors that may have informed cocaine use, and create personalized treatment plans to support long-term goals and sustainable, lasting change.

Individual Therapy

Young adult men will have opportunities to work one-on-one with an experienced clinician, focusing on their unique needs, goals, and experiences. This includes personalized skills development and evidence-based therapies such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), motivational interviewing (MI), trauma-informed care, and our NeuroAffective Relational Model (NARM), which provide a proven foundation for effective behavioral health treatment.

Group Therapy

We combine individual therapy with group therapy opportunities, bringing young adult men together to share practical strategies, build new relationships, and provide peer support while developing a healing culture and community. Our group therapy model also includes 12-Step integration and experiential therapies to explore new experiences, perspectives, and ideas in a safe environment while overcoming addiction or underlying needs.

Family Therapy

We involve committed family members throughout the healing process, with weekly family therapy sessions that empower parents, siblings, and loved ones to be educated, active, and involved in healing. Family integration helps build coping skills and strategies at home for the entire family by improving communication and understanding, enacting effective relapse-prevention skills, establishing healthy boundaries, and creating an environment focused on support, understanding, and accountability rather than blame or resentment.

Medication Management Services

Our program includes medication management services to help young men continue balancing ongoing therapy and care with medications for cocaine addiction. This includes support to address cravings and effects of cocaine addiction and ensure the wellness and safety of young adults inside and outside our walls. Dedicated medical supervision is a crucial component of effective medication use and management throughout the healing process.

Life Skills and Career Development

Healing is a comprehensive process, and we go beyond the immediate challenges of addiction to include life skills development that supports the transition not just to a drug-free life, but also supports career development and goals. From new skills in managing urges to practical daily strategies for managing time and energy, and balancing ongoing healing with professional responsibilities and accountability, we help young adult men reach new goals and milestones in every part of daily life.

What to Expect From Our Substance Use Disorder Program

Knowing what to expect can help young adult men approach professional treatment for cocaine addiction with confidence. We focus on empowerment, with a program that aids in skills development, transitional support, and personal agency, providing education and tools for young adults to take charge of their own healing and recovery. Each program blends evidence-based care and education with real-world, practical strategies, connecting young men with peers and professionals who have lived experience navigating the challenges of addiction to provide a constant stream of new ideas, practical coping strategies, and adjustments.

Our programs start each day with morning meditation and chores, helping men build life skills and accountability while developing a new daily structure. This is followed by clinical group and therapy from 1:30 to about 7:30, with supervised meal prep and time for self-care and recreation to manage energy while putting in the hard work to confront addiction and its effects. Our young adult program also starts a little later in the day, so they can maintain employment and work morning hours before coming to treatment, while addressing workplace stress and how it impacts urges and cravings, sober goals, and developing effective coping skills.

Treating Cocaine Addiction and Co-Occurring Disorders

Cocaine addiction is a complicated disease. Our personalized treatment plans address both cocaine addiction as well as underlying mental health disorders for truly transformative change. From the form of cocaine used, like powdered and dissolved cocaine to crack cocaine, to the underlying mental health factors that may inform use, like anxiety disorders, depression, panic, stress, and trauma, we address each person’s needs in tandem, exploring how these factors continue to inform each other for a comprehensive and effective approach to healing.

We are committed to treating the whole person, not just surface-level symptoms, addressing underlying mental health needs, managing emotional dysregulation, and confronting the developmental and transitional challenges unique to young adult men.

Our Levels of Care for Young Adults

Finding the right level of care for young adults is crucial. We are here not only to help you receive the necessary support for effective change, but also to provide regular monitoring and assessment to support your journey as you transition to new levels, embrace new freedoms and accountability, and adjust your program to match your changing needs, goals, and skills.

Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP)

Our PHP is our most intensive level of care. This program is designed to address the unique needs of young adults aged 18 to 28. PHP includes about 25 hours of group therapy per week along with family involvement, individual therapy, academic and life skills support, and medical oversight. Located in West Palm Beach, our PHP creates a culture that supports young men in Florida as they build new skills without having to choose between professional development and treatment for cocaine addiction.

Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP)

A step down from our PHP, our IOP includes 9 to 15 hours of group therapy per week as young adults take on more personal responsibilities and freedoms while staying connected to our supportive community. These programs continue to build developmental skills both inside and outside our walls, with weekly individual therapy and family therapy sessions, life skills support, and comprehensive co-occurring care.

Outpatient Treatment

Our least intensive level of care, our outpatient program (OP), consists of about 6 hours a week of dedicated programming and is best for young adult men who have completed a higher level of care and are continuing to successfully integrate new skills, coping strategies, and build on a sober life at home. This program can be especially beneficial for those who are balancing ongoing healing and a drug-free life with new career opportunities and life to prevent professional stresses from impacting decision-making, sobriety, and emotional wellness.

Helping a Loved One Start Treatment

Taking the first step is often the most difficult. Recognizing signs of cocaine abuse and making a call to professional care is a difficult step to take. However, it can also be necessary.

It may be time for professional care to address cocaine addiction if a loved one:

  • Continues to use cocaine despite negative consequences
  • Expresses worsening mental health, such as anxiety, depression, paranoia, and more
  • Is increasing tolerance, or experiencing withdrawal symptoms when cocaine is not available
  • Has changes in daily routine or social circles, including a self-isolating lifestyle or secretive behaviors
  • Uses lies to avoid difficult conversations about drug use
  • Feels that cocaine use is necessary to feel “normal”
  • Uses drugs like cocaine to address underlying mental health needs, such as a coping strategy for stress
  • Expresses changes in sleep schedule, like insomnia
  • Has unexplained financial changes or challenges, or money is going unaccounted for
  • No longer focuses on personal hygiene, wellness, or grooming
  • Believes cocaine use is necessary to release dopamine or feel “normal”

Early intervention is crucial, helping to prevent addiction from worsening or leading to further legal issues, heart attack, or other disastrous outcomes.

Helping a loved one can be difficult, but it all starts with a calm approach that eschews accusatory language in favor of an atmosphere of support. By approaching the situation with care rather than blame, offering logistical support, and familiarizing yourself with treatment options and the amenities available through Resilience Recovery Resources, you can support your son or loved one while committing to change alongside them, creating a unified approach to recovery.
