Why Families & Teens Trust Us

For nearly a decade, Resilience Recovery has supported adolescent and young adult males through developmentally informed, family-centered care. Our transitional model emphasizes clinical excellence, accountability, and the life skills needed for sustainable recovery and independence.

Age and Gender-Specific Care for Adolescent and Young Adult Males

Programming is thoughtfully designed around the developmental needs of young men ages 14–28. Separate tracks ensure care remains age-appropriate, clinically relevant, and aligned with each stage of growth.

Licensed Clinicians and Evidence-Based Treatment Methods

Our multidisciplinary team delivers evidence-based care grounded in relational and attachment-focused principles, including the NeuroAffective Relational Model (NARM). Treatment prioritizes emotional healing while building practical skills for long-term stability.

Small Group Sizes for Personalized Attention

Low client-to-staff ratios allow for individualized support, meaningful therapeutic relationships, and consistent clinical oversight. Each client is known, supported, and actively guided throughout their recovery process.

Trauma-Informed, Holistic Care Approach

Care is trauma-informed and developmentally responsive, addressing the underlying experiences that often contribute to substance use. We support the whole person — emotionally, socially, academically, and vocationally.

Ongoing Family Therapy and Communication

Families remain closely involved through weekly therapy, regular updates, and dedicated care coordination. This collaborative approach strengthens communication, rebuilds trust, and supports lasting change beyond the program.

Beautiful and Structured Sober Living Environments

FARR-accredited residences provide a safe, structured setting that reinforces accountability while promoting independence. Each home is intentionally designed to reflect real-world living, helping clients practice the skills necessary for a successful transition forward.

Evidence-Based Therapies for Addiction Recovery

With practical experience, evidence-based therapy, and a compassionate team, our community of wellness, along with our trained professionals, is here to support your son with one-on-one care and extensive expertise throughout the healing journey.

Trauma-Informed Care

Our team provides structured trauma treatment approaches for teens struggling with the long-term effects of trauma that may be influencing amphetamine use. Using trauma-informed care and various mental health treatment approaches, we create a safe, welcoming space for teens to confront their addiction and heal from trauma.

Individual Therapy

Learning healthy coping skills is crucial for teens to manage stress without turning to stimulants. Through individual therapy sessions using modalities such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), and motivational interviewing (MI), we help teens replace unhealthy behaviors with positive, productive ways of managing life’s challenges. Combined with our NeuroAffective Relational Model (NARM), our team provides a proven foundation for effective treatment.

Family Therapy

Treatment emphasizes family involvement, helping the entire family develop coping strategies, improve communication, and establish healthy boundaries. Our team hosts weekly family therapy sessions and encourages continued family coordination and parent involvement as appropriate.

Group Therapy

Group therapy is a space for teens to share their struggles, celebrate successes, build new relationships, and provide peer support. We also provide 12-Step integration to allow teens to explore various approaches to recovery, including 12-Step programs such as Narcotics Anonymous (NA).

Dual Diagnosis Treatment

Teens often face unique challenges that require specialized attention, mainly when dealing with substance use disorders and co-occurring mental health issues. Our programs provide comprehensive, integrated treatment for co-occurring disorders so teens can manage both amphetamine addiction and underlying concerns.

Medication-Assisted Treatment

Interventions involve psychiatric evaluation and prescription drugs for medication management as needed. We carefully monitor your teen’s mental and physical health to support their ongoing recovery, helping them reach a point of stabilization that complements the therapeutic process.

What to Expect From Our Teen Programs

Our specialized programs are tailored to address the unique challenges facing adolescent and teen males ages 14-17, including developmental considerations, peer pressure, academic demands, and life transitions. We provide a compassionate, structured environment where teens can focus on healing from amphetamine abuse while building essential life skills for long-term sobriety and successful transition to adulthood.

Our compassionate team understands that teens often have school, work, or family obligations. Outpatient services at Resilience Recovery Resources offer flexible scheduling options to accommodate academic schedules and other responsibilities while prioritizing recovery.

Treating Stimulant Addiction & Co-Occurring Disorders

Amphetamines such as Adderall, Vyvanse, and Dexedrine are often prescribed to treat attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) and narcolepsy. Access to prescriptions can become an easy avenue for drug misuse and abuse. Teens may also abuse illicit drugs such as methamphetamine and MDMA.

Mental health challenges commonly lie at the core of addiction. Treating both substance use disorder and any co-occurring mental health conditions is crucial to achieving lasting recovery. Through a dual diagnosis approach to treatment, our recovery team treats amphetamine abuse along with anxiety, depression, emotional dysregulation, and developmental and transitional challenges.

Our Substance Use Disorder Treatment Process

Recovery from addiction is a process. When your family understands the goals, milestones, and expectations of treatment, you can commit to healing from the very beginning. Resilience Recovery Resources follows a level-based structure, with regular assessments to update treatment plans and make the most of each person’s time with us.

Assessment

Every treatment journey starts with an assessment that looks at a teen’s unique challenges and experiences with substance abuse and underlying mental health needs.

Treatment Plans

Based on the assessment, our team develops a personalized treatment plan that implements therapies catered to each teen’s needs.

Therapy Sessions

We offer a blend of evidence-based therapeutic and holistic healing opportunities for a well-rounded approach to healing. Our programs also emphasize age-appropriate care, ensuring treatment looks at the developmental needs of teen and adolescent boys.

Progress Monitoring

We utilize a level system to mark milestones. Progress is reviewed weekly, with advancement to the next level dependent on personal application and team review. Monitoring progress throughout treatment ensures we help teens reach new milestones as they progress through our programs.

Aftercare Planning

Young males face unique challenges in early recovery that make aftercare particularly important. We target developmental factors, social pressures, risk-taking behaviors, and help your teen form their identity and life direction to prevent relapse. Alumni who have completed treatment with us also have ongoing access to our healing community.

Our Levels of Care for Teen Substance Misuse

We work with you and your son to ensure the level of care they participate in addresses their specific challenges. Monitoring continues throughout treatment progress to help teens transition to new levels and discover new freedoms.

Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP)

We offer in-house PHP for teen boys ages 14–17. PHP, our most intensive level of care, includes 25 hours of group therapy per week. Our PHP also combines personalized therapy, medical oversight, family involvement, and transitional support to help your teen overcome substance abuse and rebuild a healthy, sober life.

Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP)

Once PHP is complete, teens step down into IOP, which includes 9 to 15 hours of group therapy per week. Our IOP combines evidence-based weekly individual therapy, family therapy sessions, and life skills support. IOP also gives teens the opportunity to embrace new freedoms, both inside and outside of our walls.

Outpatient Treatment

Our West Palm Beach outpatient program (OP) serves adolescent males ages 14-17, including those from Boynton Beach, Palm Beach Gardens, and Delray Beach. Outpatient rehab is a structured addiction treatment program that provides therapy, counseling, and support services with about 6 hours a week of dedicated programming.

Supporting Your Son’s Well-Being

Our amphetamine addiction recovery program is committed to supporting your son’s well-being by providing personalized care, light encouragement, and guidance needed to thrive in the healing process.

Educational Support

We blend treatment programs with academic support, working with a Florida-certified special education teacher to help your son maintain academic success.

Relapse Prevention

Healing is an ongoing journey. We help teens build relapse prevention plans and educate them and their families about triggers, urges, and cravings.

Is It Time for Professional Help?

If your child has experienced a significant decline in their academic performance, withdrawn from peers or family, and has been facing challenges with strained relationships and overall identity, it may be time to seek professional support. Sudden mood swings, eating disorders, irregular sleeping patterns, intense fatigue, and high anxiety indicate withdrawal symptoms are present and need to be addressed.

Early intervention is the best approach to treatment, helping address the effects of addiction early and prevent further consequences. However, it’s never too late for treatment. Resilience Recovery Resources is ready to help your family find healing.

FAQs

Does my son need detox before entering your treatment facility?

If your son is facing problems with severe amphetamine addiction, detoxification may be the first suggested step in healing. While we do not offer in-house detox, we work with local detox facilities to help you begin your journey, providing information and resources so your son can both engage in effective detox as well as set up a plan to transition to further care with us, so there are never any gaps in treatment.

Your child’s education should never be put on hold for amphetamine addiction treatment. Taking a break can put a child behind academically and increase stress or anxiety. For that reason, we work with a Florida-certified special education teacher to maintain academic involvement and success throughout rehab, so your teen never has to choose between their academic career and their pursuit of sobriety.

Our recovery team emphasizes an integrated approach to treatment, incorporating family involvement, educational support, and community engagement to enhance the recovery process. This approach ensures your child receives the best care on their journey to healing and resilience. Parent Involvement includes weekly family therapy, weekly family groups, quarterly in-person family weekends, and family care coordination.
