MEET OUR TEAM

chris martinez, cac, icadc, narmp

FOUNDER

Chris Martinez is the Founder of Resilience Recovery Resources, LLC. Since 2012, he has committed his life to behavioral health and addiction treatment, specializing in extended care and crisis intervention. Chris is a graduate of Loyola Marymount University’s Drug and Alcohol Counseling Program and a certified NARM (NeuroAffective Relational Model) Practitioner. He has worked alongside top addiction clinicians for several years in Los Angeles and now contributes passionately to the treatment field here in South Florida. When Chris moved to Florida at the end of 2015, he saw a need for true extended care – or aftercare as part of the larger continuum of care for those suffering with alcoholism and substance use disorder. While the standard sober living or halfway model may work for many, he knew there was a need for a more structured, client-centered model. And so, with the help of Stephanie and a few close friends, Resilience Recovery Resources was born. Chris was compelled to create a gender and age-specific program, which filled a much-needed gap here in South Florida. Being affected by his own addiction at an early age, Chris has been able to have a real impact on this population. Chris’s passion for helping others is only matched by his dedication to his family. Beginning with the loss of his father at age thirteen and leading up to his own struggles with addiction, he has overcome many personal obstacles to be able to willfully immerse himself in the realm of the spirit as a means of guiding others to find their own path to recovery. He embodies the true spirit of Resilience.

STEPHANIE MARTINEZ, BA, CRRA

CO-OWNER & CHIEF OPERATING OFFICER

Stephanie is orginally from Long Island, New York. Her path took her up and down the East Coast during her tumultuous college years. However, it wasn’t until she relocated to Los Angeles, CA in 2010 that her own personal journey of recovery began. She immersed herself in a 12-Step program and embraced a supportive sober network. Her experience in the rooms of recovery and her involvement at Beit T'Shuvah, a renowned non-profit treatment center, ignited her deep-rooted passion for assisting others. Stephanie's contributions to Beit T'Shuvah included leading the Marathon Program alongside certified coaches, raising over $125,000 annually to provide crucial treatment to individuals struggling with addiction who lacked the means to afford it. With a Bachelor of Business Administration in Marketing and Finance from Florida Atlantic University and a certificate as a Certified Recovery Residence Administrator, Stephanie expanded her knowledge and skills to make a positive impact. Over the years, she gained valuable experience in the non-profit sector, specializing in Development Operations and Database Administration. Since creating Resilience in early 2016 with Chris, she came on full-time in 2018 and has played a pivotal role in establishing and overseeing all operations at Resilience Recovery Resources. Stephanie is dedicated to providing comprehensive support and resources for individuals on their recovery paths. Outside of her professional endeavors, Stephanie is deeply committed to personal development, community service, and cherishing quality time with her two children. Her multifaceted experiences and unwavering determination make her an invaluable leader to the Resilience team.

SULLY

CERTIFIED THERAPY DOG

Sully was born on July 5th 2020. He was #6 of the litter and a gift from George’s children. Being from Boston, it was only fitting to have a Boston Terrier. And since everyone from Boston knows a Sully, it only made sense to name him Sully! This furry friend got George through a very difficult time and close loss during COVID. Knowing what Sully was capable of emotionally, George enrolled him in several training courses at Dog Days to become a therapy dog. He successfully obtained his Therapy Dog International License in April of 2023 and has been bringing joy to clients ever since! Sully loves training and learning so much with other dogs, that George enrolled him in “Trick School”, so the staff will be learning all his new tricks soon! Interesting fact about Sully - he has only barked once or twice since he was born! Sully is a remarkable little soul and we are so grateful to have him as an emotional support for all our clients and staff.
