Why PHP Can Be Effective for Your Child
PHP offers teens a compassionate, structured space to navigate the intense emotions and pressures that come with adolescence — from academic stress and social anxiety to identity struggles and experimenting with substances. In our PHP, caring clinicians help teens build healthy coping skills through hands-on support, emotional regulation, and routines that restore confidence and stability. Family involvement ensures parents are supported with practical strategies to strengthen communication and safety at home. With daily, focused care, PHP helps teens reconnect with school, peers, and their sense of purpose while reducing the risk of crisis and relapse.

Daily Schedule & Structure of Our PHP for Teens
Resilience Recovery Resources offers a dedicated and structured approach to PHP for teens in West Palm Beach. These programs are designed for men aged 14 to 17, providing a daily itinerary that blends proven care, clinical excellence, and holistic healing options personalized to the needs and goals of your teen.
Days start around 7:00 a.m. with morning meditation, then move to chores and morning routines from 7:00 a.m. to 9:00 a.m.. Clinical groups then run from 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., with a dedicated 30-minute lunch break at noon, and regular 10-15-minute breaks to stay refreshed, active, and engaged in effective programming.
However, your teen does not have to choose between their healing and their academic career, as our programs also include schooling with our Florida-licensed special education teacher at a satellite location, with enrolled students receiving two hours of academic support each day, either between 12:30 p.m. and 2:30 p.m. or 2:30 p.m. and 4:30 p.m., whichever best fits their schedule.
After clinical and academic programming, teens can return to their housing for free time, using amenities such as a mural wall, garden, music studio, and basketball court to foster a communal atmosphere.
Dinner is made family-style by a few clients under staff supervision on weekdays, further adding to the spirit of community that permeates our programs, before an off-site 12-Step meeting to round out the day’s programming. After about an hour of additional free relaxation time, lights out then occurs at 10:00 p.m., giving teens time to rest for the next day of confronting new challenges and exploring new options in healing.
Weekends provide even further opportunities, with a more relaxed atmosphere and schedule, including morning reflection and new experiential activities on Saturdays, such as go-karting, paddleboarding, or other new experiences for your son as they develop a new lifestyle in healing.
This structure can help not only separate their new lifestyle from previous routines that may have enabled drug and alcohol use, but also fill this time with an array of new experiences and guidance to create a strong base to build a new and fulfilling sober life.
An Integrated Dual-Diagnosis Approach to Care
Each program is personalized to fit the needs of your teen, beginning with the substance used, and continuing with the unique stresses, trauma, and mental health challenges that may have informed their use in the first place. With integrated dual-diagnosis care, we approach both addiction and underlying needs simultaneously, developing effective skills and relapse prevention strategies.

FAQs
What is PHP, and how is it different from inpatient rehab?
A PHP serves as a “step down” from a more intense level of care, such as inpatient rehab. While days are still structured, PHPs provide more freedoms for those who have reached stabilization but may not necessarily require the intensive care of a residential program.
What is the cost of PHP treatment without insurance?
The cost of PHP for your teen will depend on the program and the length of stay at our recovery residences while enrolled in our PHP. However, we will provide a clear outline of any costs before beginning a program with us, so there are no surprises when it comes to the cost of your son’s healing.
Do you offer payment plans or financing options?
Yes, we offer flexible payment plans and financing options to families.
Is financial assistance or scholarship funding available?
It depends on the current opening and funding. Our admissions team can review eligibility during your call with us.
Are there additional charges beyond the base program cost?
Some programs may require additional costs, depending on your insurance coverage program or deductibles. This includes options like medication, lab work, or psychiatric visits. However, any costs are always made clear, with financial information made transparent at all points during your time with us.
What is your refund or early-discharge policy?
These can vary by program. However, these factors are reviewed and made clear before admissions, so there are no surprises when it comes to our refund policy for your son.
If my son leaves AMA (Against Medical Advice), am I financially responsible?
Leaving against medical advice can be complicated, and financial responsibility depends on both your admissions agreement and insurance guidelines. Our team will explain this clearly during the admissions process. However, we always work closely with you and your son to commit to healing and stay in our program, personalizing treatment to improve retention and motivation for your son.
